Éomer is
on patrol and comes upon the scene at the Fords of Isen, which are located
not far from Isengard.
He finds his cousin, Théodred seriously wounded, but alive. Éomer finds evidence that they were attacked by Uruk-hai bearing
the White Hand of Saruman.
