In The Fellowship of the Ring:
As Frodo and Gandalf make their way to Bag End, they pass Everard Proudfoot's Hobbit-hole. He glares at Gandalf suspiciously. After Gandalf sets off some fireworks for the children that are following, Everard is amused. However, his wife comes out and he quickly wipes the smile off of his face.
At Bilbo's birthday party, he corrects Bilbo by saying "Proudfeet."
In The Return of the King:
Everard Proudfoot is outside of his Hobbit-hole when he sees Frodo, Merry, Pippin and Sam returning home after their long adventure.
